Singles (2023-24)
In 2023, Here's The Steeple received funding from Help Musicians to record 6 new singles. Released as 3 double A-sides across 2023-24, the tracks on a range of folk-related influences from Laura Marling to Rachael Dadd. They explore themes of childhood, relationships, and politics, and demonstrate the thoughtful lyrics and rich textures he has become known for.

The singles were recorded by Jamie Lockhart at Greenmount Studios, and mastered by Carl Rosamond. As well as Dan on guitars, keys and vocals, they feature Rob Crisp on clarinet/sax, Connor Lennon on trumpet, Jamie on violin, Fran Wheeldon on bass and backing vocals, Liv Walters on backing vocals, and Billy Poulter on drums. Rascals/Brambles
Rascals - A raucous chamber-pop affair with blaring trumpets and clarinets, exploring the first adolescent steps towards independence.

Brambles - A nostalgic walk picking blackberries on the woody path behind Memory Lane. Mellow brass and sweet vocal harmonies.
