Here's The Steeple is the musical handle of Dan Walters, a multi-instrumentalist based in West Yorkshire, UK. Whether alone or with friends, Dan's music combines intricate textures and thoughtful lyrics with a wide range of folk influences, delivered with a uniquely rich and soulful Northern voice to warm you up like a good cup of tea.

Dan recorded his debut album 'High Hopes' with 15 of the best and brightest from Huddersfield's music scene. He launched the record in 2019, playing with a chamber orchestra to an audience of over 120 people.

 

With support from Help Musicians, Here's The Steeple recorded a collection of new songs at Greenmount studios in Leeds in Easter 2023, due for release starting later this year.

Here's The Steeple has since been played on BBC6 Music, and shared the stage with artists including Scott Matthews, Rozi Plain, Will Varley, Tiny Ruins, and Steve Mason (The Beta Band).
